Designing A Medical Assistant Resume That Will Get The Job

A good solid resume is the essential tool when searching for that perfect job. An effective medical assistant resume should contain some specific information that is focused on the area of expertise in healthcare that the assistant has embraced. A resume is the all-important first impression. It is that "foot in the door" opportunity that is critical to making the proper impact. Before any hiring professional meets you, they will first review your previously submitted resume. Therefore it is the single most important impression you will make within your face to face interview. In fact, getting your face to face interview is really predicated upon the strength of your resume.

Naturally you will want to incorporate the usual basics such as name, contact address and phone numbers, education details and work history, any professional memberships organizations to which you belong, and of course a couple of viable references from people in your profession. If at all possible obtain at least two glowing letters of recommendation from prior employers or professors and attach them to your resume.

Stating your qualifications is only the beginning. Emphasis should be placed upon your unique gifts and talents, such as other languages you speak, rewards you may have won, (but only if they are appropriate to the position for which you are applying), and any special areas of expertise you possess that would be strong selling points to a potential employer. Sometimes referred to as flags or blinkers, these essential points may include such things as certificates, specialty seminars or workshops for which you have documentation, proof of internships, and volunteer work.

It goes without saying that you will want to have the most professional looking resume possible, expertly proofread and printed on the best quality formal paper you can afford. It is also very desirable to have a good photograph of yourself attached to or incorporated into the resume. Be certain that any references you may use have been pre-screened for suitability as to what they will say or what information they will release concerning your work history or credentials. The formality and overall tone of your resume will depend in great part upon the particular position you are applying for. Do not hesitate to create more than one style of medical assistant resume to accommodate different potential employers.

For instance, if you are applying for a position in an exclusively private office such as cosmetic surgeon or upscale dermatologist, adjust your resume accordingly. A simple one-page resume will do just fine for most hospitals, clinics and the average medical office however. Keep your resume professional, simple and to the point. Do not include superfluous information that has nothing to do with the position for which you are applying. Most community colleges offer classes in resume preparation and career guidance centers who will assist you. Take advantage of these free opportunities if you have the slightest doubt about your ability to produce an excellent resume.

Top 4 Tips to Improve your Ebay Listings and Sell More on Ebay!

The better your listing looks on eBay the more likely it is to sell well. So how do you improve your listings to make them desirable and get you the best price that you can? This article will give you the top four tips on creating a great listing.

1. Have good quality pictures. The better the quality of picture the more likely it is that people will buy your item. Make sure you take the photo in good light as this makes your item stand out better. Think about it, you would not want to buy something that looks out of focus or the picture was not clear.

Take more than one photo at different angles and choose the best one.

2. Choose the most specific category possible. This helps buyers find your item, and therefore give it better exposure. If you're not sure then you are allowed to list in a second category.

3. Your title is the most important aspect of your listing. If you have a descriptive qualifying title then people are more likely to have a look at your listing in more detail. Try to use words that you think people will be looking for and provide as much detail as the space will allow. Do not waste space by putting unnecessary words or characters such as @LOOK HERE @ or ** HOT ** as it has been shown to put off buyers.

4. Provide as much detail in your listings as possible. People like to know upfront things like the condition of the item – New / Used. Does it have any marks / scratches on it. If it's a book or dvd, what year is it from. What is it about? The more information you can provide the better.

Not only does this help people decide either to bid on your item or not, it reduces the number of emails that you will get asking questions about your item.

Improving your listings is simply a matter of showing off your product to the best it can be by providing a great clear picture, killer title and detailed description. If you do this well you'll be on the way to eBay riches sooner than you think!

Perineum Massage – How Can I Hit My Man’s P-Spot Every Time We Are in Bed?

If you are searching for a way to heighten the passion in your bed, allow me to tell you about your man’s p-spot. This is an area in his body that is highly sensitive. Stimulating it would send electric jolts throughout his body. If you want something that would leave him asking for more, here are some tips to hit your man’s p-spot every time you are in bed.

Your man might not be aware that such spot even exists. He might now know that being touched in that area would actually be exhilarating. So, educate him by providing some loving on his p-spot. By teaching him this new technique, you also need to inform him. The perineum massage would not work if it will come as a surprise. This kind of sensuous massage is a joint project.

The perineum is part of the prostate gland. It is situated at the lower end of the prostate. This spot is very sensitive because there is a cluster of nerve endings lodged in that area. Yes, similar to the head of his penis, and the so-called g-spot of women. There are testimonials claiming how this p-spot parallels that of the female’s g-spot.

There are certain details you have to consider before you proceed to massaging the perineum or the prostate. First on the list would be knowing the prostate per se. This gland is part of the reproductive organ. It is the shelter which the alkaline component of the semen is housed. Its size is similar to that of a walnut, while its form takes the figure of a chestnut. It is practically small but very significant.

For you to massage this area, you have to explore the insides of your man. By doing this, you have to insert your finger in his anus. A bump along the rectum would tell you the spot of the prostate. Don’t get too excited once you have reached this spot. You simply have to press it gently, tap it, or massage it in a circular manner. Again, you just have to gentle when you touch him.

Inform your man of what you are about to do so he would not get too tensed while you are doing it. Tell him that you will be helping him to reach an orgasm akin to multiple orgasms of female. Also, make sure that you look confident while you are doing this. If you appear tensed, most likely, he will sense this and be tensed too. Look unto his eyes while you are exploring his booty. This would be your first step in giving him a massage.

To help you get a feel of his inner bottom, and for your lover to get familiar with the sensations, you have to start with just touching his butt. Go and explore his butt cheeks. Then, gradually progress to touching the anus. Later on, lightly tap this area. You will notice that his muscles are relaxed and ready to be explored. This would be the sign that you can already continue to penetration.

It would be of great help if you get to use a lubricant. I always go for the water-based lubricant because I prefer its glide. However, I am not discouraging you to have a take on oil-based and gel-based. Try these three variants, and find out whatever suits you. You will learn as you go along. So, take this activity as a journey that will lead you to higher passions and higher knowledge of each other’s body.

Start practicing and hit your man’s p-spot the next time both of you are in bed.

Healthy Eating vs Chocolate Chip Cookies

Congratulations. You've made the decision to eat healthy and get some exercise. You're not only going to feel better but also have a better quality of life because of your decision. You're leaving behind lots of fat, sugar, and caffeine, and your body is going to like that.

There's more to the story of longevity and good health in our lives. What we eat is only part of our health; attitude, mental health, background, family history, environmental exposures, physical activity, and other factors play into it too.

It's all about balance. You do not have to be perfect with your food all the time. Having a chocolate chip cookie or a morning mocha now and then is not going to cause you to kick the bucket early. Remember moderation and balance in all aspects of your life.

Changing your lifestyle and eating habits can be tough. If you immediately say no to everything you've previously enjoyed, you can end up feeling stripped. This negative feeling can lead you to say "All is lost, I give up" when you slip up and have one cookie. Or it can have you thinking "This is too hard, I can not live this way, I give up". Feeling deprived is the downfall of many dieters.

The lesson here is to make lifestyle changes gradually. Try changing just one thing at a time and do not move on until that change has stuck. For instance, cut back gradually on your soda until you're totally on water. Gradually doing this helps you to not feel deprived and also helps with the withdrawal from caffeine and sugar. It's harder to stay with something if you're having serious withdrawal headaches and grumpiness.

Instead of dwelling on what you can not have, concentrate on adding things to your life to make it healthier and more satisfying. Add walking the dog around the park or playing hide and seek with your kids to your daily routine. Instead of thinking about that double cheeseburger you can not have, go to the movies or dancing with a loved one.

Remember balance. It is your life and you are free to make choices. You can choose to occasionally have your favorite treat, and when you do so, really enjoy it without guilt. Keep the big picture in mind – your good health – and you'll do just fine.

3 Sex Skills You MUST Master (If You Want Awesome Orgasms)

There’s “sex”, and then there’s “SEX!” We’ve all had plain old missionary style sex that gets to be bore over the years. If you are just having standard, boring sex then you are really missing out on the real orgasmic pleasures of true mind blowing sex.

If you want to experience awesome orgasms, you just need to follow these 3 sex skills:

1. Long Lasting Sex. This must be mentioned first because it’s a HUGE reason why women, and men, experience either no orgasms at all, or else very lousy and weak orgasms.

Obviously this most often falls on the man. The man needs to learn to last long during sex and not experience the ever so common problem of premature ejaculation. This is a sex skill you simply have to learn if you want to give your partner incredible orgasms. And if you are suffering from premature ejaculation then your own orgasm is WEAK. Quick ejaculation orgasms are simply not as strong as those which take longer to achieve.

In order to last long during sex you have to learn some physical exercises and some mental breathing techniques to calm the mind and not get it overexcited (which is notorious for leading to quick ejaculations). Practice squeezing the small muscle between the anus and testicles which you can feel when you urinate and top mid stream. Flexing it will make it stronger and allow you to last. It takes some weeks to get used to but it is definitely worth it for both you and your partner.

Now if you are a woman, your job is to encourage your guy to learn to last. Give him the exercises and help him practice them so you can have the long lasting sex that you and he deserves.

2. Oral Sex Mastery. This is the second best sex skill you need to master because oral sex is unbelievably so darn pleasurable! Let’s be honest, oral sex feels amazing. It is oftentimes much more incredible than regular sex. For this reason alone you need to master this skill big time.

If you are woman you can easily learn some incredible techniques for giving ridiculous mind blowing orgasms to guys. The type where they look down in utter disbelief at the pleasure you are giving them.

If you are a guy it gets a little trickier. Honestly, most guys are clueless about “going down there”. There’s definitely certain techniques and rhythms to learn and major tips that work wonders for unbelievable orgasms. These are the type of orgasms that the woman remembers for years to come. You may split up with a woman, and then see them a few years later, and that initial look they will give you will automatically convey memories and images of those amazing nights of oral pleasure that you gave her. That’s how powerful good oral sex can be.

Some oral tips to get started with are to take things slow at first. Don’t rush down there and slobber away. Go slow and gradually pick up your pace developing a steady rhythm. Listen to her! If she is responding well then keep at what you are doing. If there’s obvious room for improvement then allow her to guide you a bit to where it feels best. Eventually you will want to learn the oral sex skills where you won’t need to be guided but you will provide ways to pleasure her that she never even knew about.

3. Hot Sex Positions. We talked about the missionary being lame. That’s because there are so many other positions to choose from and experiment with that are much “hotter” and more erotic than the typical missionary.

The key to awesome sex is variety. And variety will come in the form of switching up your sex positions. As an example, a small sampling of your standard rotation of sex positions can be the following: Have her on top, go from behind, insert from the side, straddle each other in the sitting position. There are many variations to sex and they are all incredibly pleasurable. The key is to mix it up. Learn as many as possible and rotate them.

Don’t just learn standard sex positions either, learn oral sex positions such as the 69 where you are both performing oral on one another at the same time.

The Role of Technology in Education

In the current age we live in, technology has become an important component. Every day there is some new gadget or software that makes lives easier and improves on the technology and software that already exists. Making lives easier is not, however, the only role technology plays in our lives.

Technology is playing an increasing role in education. As technology advances, it is used to benefit students of all ages in the learning process.

Technology used in the classroom helps students adsorb the material. For example, since some people are visual learners, projection screens linked to computers can allow students to see their notes instead of simply listening to a teacher deliver a lecture.

Software can be used to supplement class curriculum. The programs provide study questions, activities, and even tests and quizzes for a class that can help students continue learning outside the classroom.

Technology has also become part of many curriculums, even outside of computer and technology classes. Students use computers to create presentations and use the Internet to research topics for papers and essays.

Students also learn to use the technology available to them in computer and tech classes. This ensures that after graduation they will be able to use the technology in a work setting, which may put them ahead of someone who didn’t have access to a particular technology or software in their own school setting.

As technology advances, students have better access to educational opportunities like these. When something new and “better” is revealed, the “older” technology becomes more affordable, allowing it to be used in educational settings, even when schools are on a tight budget.

Technology has also advanced to help children even before they’ve started school. Educational video games and systems for young children helps them prepare for school and in some cases get a head start on their education.

There are people who may say children are “spoiled” by technology. Instead of being able to add a long column of numbers in their heads, for example, they turn to a calculator. Regardless of these arguments, technology is an important part of today’s society. By incorporating it into the classroom, students will be better equipped to transition from the classroom to the work place.

Ginseng Differences and Benefits – How to Choose the Best Ginseng for Your Needs

Ginseng is known as an adaptogenic herb. An adaptogen is an herb that regulates and helps the body handle stress and maintain vitality. Adaptogens are used for long term revitalization and not for immediate energy like central nervous system stimulants such as caffeine.

Ginseng is grown in many parts of the world. The roots are the part of the plant used for all Ginseng products. Each variety has its own health benefits. Ginseng benefits are cumulative. Taking the herb for several months to a year is far more effective than short-term doses. Ginsengs are used in many Eastern formulas to complement other herbs.

Ginseng in general provides energy to all body systems, is a stimulant for brain and memory centers, helps lower cholesterol and regulates sugar use in the body. Ginseng also promotes regeneration from stress and fatigue. All Ginsengs contain measurable amounts of germanium, a trace mineral also in mushrooms.

Panax Ginseng, (Also known as Asian Ginseng, Korean Ginseng, Chinese Ginseng, Ren Shen, Xi Yang Shen, or Say Yang Sum), grown in Korea is the broadest spectrum of all adaptogenic herbs. It is also considered one of the most prized and expensive herbs. Panax ginseng stimulates both long and short-term energy, so is know as a yang tonic replenishing Qi (energy.)

Panax is rich in phyto-hormones for both men and women’s problems. For men it helps in the formation of testosterone and for women it protects against breast cancer, hence the term adaptogenic (it will adapt to the needs of the body no matter what is needed and no matter what sex.) For this reason, Panax also fits into the aphrodisiac category. Panax Ginseng is used for enhancing the immune system, impotence and premature ejaculation, poor sleep and nervous exhaustion. It is especially useful for older bodies with debilitating conditions.

Contraindications: Panax, meaning panacea, is NOT universally applicable in every illness like its name implies. Yang Ginsengs should not be taken during acute inflammatory disease or for bronchitis. Use the yin American Ginseng for bronchitis. The yang Ginsengs are used in combination with other herbs to temper their powerful nature.

American Ginseng (Also called Panax quinquefolius, Xi Yan Shen) is a yin tonic. Yin tonics are cooling and slowing in nature. American Ginseng is used in China for fevers and for exhaustion due to chronic wasting diseases. It is also used for coughs related to lung weaknesses (such as tuberculosis, bronchial infections or asthma.)

Siberian Ginseng (also called Eleuthero or Eleutherococcus senticosus) comes from China. It is known for its long-term energy effects on the adrenal glands and circulation. In this day and age, most of our American population is overtaxing their adrenal glands with excess stress. There are just too many tasks enticing us to utilize our available time. We are spending less and less time with our families and doing what nourishes us (our Life Purpose or God Path.) Siberian Ginseng is a yang tonic herb, so it stimulates fast, hot, male energy type of function. Siberian Ginseng has been used for rheumatic complaints, low vitality, and weak liver and kidney energy for about 2000 years. It is considered less heating (less yang) than the Panax varieties (therefore safer.)

I use Siberian Ginseng in my “Old Dog Formula” to increase the circulation to the butt muscles and lower spine. I once had a client who came in regularly for Old Dog Formula for their two very aged shelties. I noticed that they came in a bit more regularly than they should for the dosage I had recommended. When I asked them about it, they confessed that they were also using the product with fabulous results. I like it too and use it occasionally for gardening season.

Panax notoginseng (Also known as Pseudoginseng or San Qi) is grown in China and is used as an analgesic and to stop internal and external bleeding. It is also added to treatments for coronary heart disease and angina. Quite interestingly, San Qi was used extensively by the North Vietnamese during the Vietnam War to increase recovery rates from gunshot wounds. Avoid this one during pregnancy. It could harm the fetus.

Wild Ginseng, from Manchuria, is considered the best, but is extremely expensive. For centuries in the East, top-grade Ginseng roots have been valued more than gold.

Ginseng comes in two varieties, red and white. Red Ginseng is cured by steaming which gives it its color and yang attributes.

So, next time you go to the health food store, don’t just ask for Ginseng, be specific.

ADHD – Is It Good or Bad for Athletes?

Preserving the benefits of ADHD

Many athletes, whether they are aware of it or not, are coping with ADHD. Some have become world-class stars, such as Michael Phelps, Magic Johnson, Jason Kid, Babe Ruth and many others. According to various researchers, some of the people coping with the syndrome are characterized by creativity, flexibility of thought, ability to deal with chaotic situations and multi-tasking abilities.

Does this mean that the syndrome is a sporting advantage for those who cope with it? Not exactly.

ADHD is a syndrome that raises many difficulties for those who deal with it, in all areas of their lives, and sport is no exception. During the post we will see examples of how the syndrome can make it difficult for athletes to fulfill their potential. On the other hand, if you are aware that the athlete is coping with the syndrome, it can be treated in various ways, such as neurocognitive training.

Proper treatment can enable athletes to overcome the typical ADHD symptoms and to express their unique brain patterns on court, so it will becomes an advantage.

So let’s get started and see what it means to be an athlete with ADHD.

Studies suggest that many ADHD children must be on the move. That’s why they tend to play sports, and in some cases even excel in it. They do this because the sport provides a response to their unceasing need for movement, and the thrill of competitive sports often serves as a stimulant and focusing agent.

Another reason, unknown to many parents, is the strict discipline demanded by competitive sports. Children with ADHD lack an internal behavior regulator and the external regime they have to obey in order to succeed in sports, is a kind of external menstruation. This regulator has a direct effect on them, because it nourishes their sense of pleasure and self-satisfaction. When this happens, their intrinsic motivation increases miraculously.

The famous athletes I mentioned above have a champions’ personality structure and some have also gained unique growth hotbeds. In their case, ADHD became an advantage, which they learned to use. On the other hand, it is not difficult to estimate that for every athlete who has succeeded despite their ADHD, there are dozens who have failed because of their ADHD. ADHD also means attention deficit problems, difficulty in transitions between different attention types and self-control, decision making and organizational skills impairments. Not everyone is lucky enough to have the personality structure and growth incubator that turn ADHD into an advantage.

What do we mean when we talk about ADHD?

First one must examine what ADHD is all about. ADHD is not a lack of attentiveness but, inter alia, inconsistency in attention and inability to pause action, until the brain processes its possible consequences. This is why children with ADHD find it difficult to learn from previous negative experience, and tend to repeat their mistakes. According to Dr. Russell Barkley, a psychiatrist and a global ADHD expert, these children also have a problem with working memory, low linguistic abilities, motivation problems and so forth.

Barkley concludes that these problems stem from a failure of the motor functions in the frontal lobe. He also attributes the difficulty of dealing with distractions to a motor problem, rather than to a sensory problem – as opposed to cases of autism, for example.

According to Barkley, the person coping with ADHD does not absorb more sensory data than other people. But unlike them, he responds to distractions and doesn’t manage to ignore them. ‘Normal’ People manage to suppress responses to irrelevant events and continue to perform the relevant sequence of tasks they intend to do, while ADHD patients fail to do so.

The ADHD swing in sports

Let’s look at two typical cases of the effect of ADHD on athletic potential.

Consider Moti (a pseudonym), a talented defense soccer player in the Israeli Premier League, who has been coping with ADHD since childhood. As is the case with many athletes, soccer serves as him as a motivational factor, motivates him to work hard and a gives him a lot of satisfaction.

On the other hand, due to his impulsivity component and his difficulty in processing the information before he reacts, Moti’s career’ progress has stopped, and he shifts between the Premier League and the National League.

Why did it happen? When looking at his ability to function, he is a good player, doing his defensive work. When the pace is high and the opponent’s players attack mainly in his defense wing, he appears to be a good and efficient player. However, when the game slows down or after a few minutes in which he is not required to act and be active, he simply leaves his position and goes out to run after an opposing …

Foods That Cause Acne

The embarrassing condition of acne has been blamed on a wide variety of causes throughout the ages. Many people unjustly blame individuals with acne-prone skin of being dirty or failing to wash their faces properly. This is obviously far from the truth as acne can strike anyone, regardless of their personal hygiene habits. Others believe that eating large amounts of chocolate will ensure an acne breakout. This is also not the case, but research has linked acne to choices a person’s diet. We are going to discuss some types of foods that cause acne.

Foods that are highly acidic tend to cause acne as they create an imbalance in your body’s pH levels. The foods you should avoid include the following:

  • Vegetables: lentils, squash, corn
  • Fruits: currants, plums, prunes, cranberries and blueberries
  • Grains: barley, cornstarch, oatmeal, wheat bran, amaranth, rice, rye, wheat germ, noodles, macaroni, spaghetti, bread, soda crackers, white flour, rolled oats and wheat flour
  • Beans & Legumes: chick peas, green peas, kidney beans, pinto beans, red beans, soy beans, black beans and white beans
  • Dairy Products: butter, ice cream, processed cheese, butter and ice milk
  • Nuts & Butters: peanuts, pecans, walnuts, cashews and peanut butter
  • Animal Proteins: bacon, beef, pork, salmon, lamb, fish, clams, cod, mussels, sausage, scallops, turkey, venison, shrimp and lobster
  • Fats & Oils: canola oil, lard, olive oil, sesame oil, sunflower oil, hemp seed oil and safflower oil
  • Sweeteners: corn syrup, sugar and carob
  • Alcohol: spirits, hard liquor, wine and beer
  • Condiments: vinegar, pepper, ketchup and mustard
  • Drinks: coffee and soft drinks
  • Drugs & chemicals: aspirin, pesticides, tobacco and herbicides

If you want to prevent or minimize acne breakouts, you should replace acidic food with alkaline food choices. Some examples include carrots, cucumbers, garlic, lettuce, tomatoes, apples, grapes, lemons, pineapples, raisins, strawberries, peaches, oranges and almonds. You may be surprised to see so many citrus fruits on this list. The reason is that the specific citric acid they each contain has an alkalinizing effect on your body that will actually reduce the level of acidity, rather than increase it.

Rather than making an effort to avoid one specific type of food, it is better to avoid groups of acidic foods that will enhance your acne. Replace some of the choices in the first list with more alkaline foods from the second list. You will soon discover that small changes in your diet can produce big results!

I was recently asked whether the Giants who helped to build the pyramid of Giza has the same DNA as human beings. What is the arrangement of the double helix? From the questions it became clear that the concept of the forces of animism that take on forms is yet to sit well with many people. But the issue of DNA I will handle in a separate article.

Anyone who has read my articles on The Pyramid of Giza and The Gods of Our Ancestors will have a better appreciation of what I am about to explain. And it is important to know that these thoughts are not mine, and that they derive from my understanding of the work In The Light Of Truth The Grail Message, a book written by a German author, Oscar Ernst Bernhardt who wrote under the pen name, Abd-ru-shin.

The giants we meet in mythology actually existed, and are still in existence today. It is only necessary to add that myths are the realities that we lost in the intellectual closet we locked ourselves in. Thus when we are told of an Atlas that stood on mount Atlas and held the sky, we are actually dealing with a depiction of the reality of a giant called Atlas, who resides on mount Atlas, and gave its name to the mountain. In fact, many mountains have some of these giants inhabiting them.

Another species of giants are responsible for hurricanes. Their strides, race and activities result in destructive movement of air. They uproot trees and carry water to flood planes.

A different species cause earthquakes and volcanoes. They work in coordinated way, such that those that form volcanoes serve as preparers for major earthquakes and earth sinking, as they did in the sinking of Atlantis. I explained this in the article, The Sinking of Atlantis. They are still the same that will be responsible for the sinking of parts of Japan and much of Europe, which will be counter balanced by the rise of Atlantis at the center of the Atlantic Ocean.

They are the ones who helped the Incas to build the temple that was one of the most expensive in the world, since many parts of the temple and artifacts in it are in solid gold. They were also the ones who sank it under water. Today, its memories are in mythology as a mysterious temple at the bottom of a lake which, for current security reasons, I may not name. The giants will one day raise the temple when a universal earthquake hits the earth, Atlantis rises, and many other political upheavals follow. Then, a new teaching will gain power with the force of a hurricane.

The time is near when all men’s heart will be gripped with fear, when the great wonder appears in heaven.

What Is Medical Coding

Medical coding can be defined as assigning of codes to medical diagnosis and procedures that assist in the financial reimbursements of a patient insurance companies and the government. The person who does this job of coding and decoding is called as an administrative medical specialist.

Medical coding is all about translating the physician or doctor? S observations about any medical procedure into alphanumerical codes that describe what type of treatment was provided to the patient and the details of the same. Insurance providers use these codes to reimburs the patient in question.

The ever-changing state of technology and procedures that are used in allopathic medicine makes it hard and complicated for laymen to understand the medical terminology used by the doctors or physicians. By giving exact codes to define procedures it becomes easier for all the parties involved to comprehend the procedures and compensate the person in question.

According to the United States Department of Labor Statistics, health information technicians such as medical coding and health insurance specialization are one of the fastest growing health occupations for the next decade. These practitioners are challenging, exciting and satisfying. Hospitals, health centers, doctors, insurance companies, health maintenance organizations, and government agencies engage these specialists. Some work from home as autonomous consultants using medical billing and coding programs and other computer software, and others use office space for this job.

A medical coders job is challenging because the coder has to keep pace with the changing procedures and regular advances in technology. This means that the coder has to learn new procedures and terms so that he can perform the job in an efficient manner.

Medical coders also take on huge financial liabilities because the amounts involved may be astronomical since allopathic treatment is expensive anywhere in the world. These coding methods also provide an important function for physician reimbursements, hospital payments, benchmarking measurement and the compilation of general medical statistical data.

Why Infant Mortality Rate Is an Important Health Indicator?

There are various indicators of overall state of health status of a country, region and community. The health indicators are used to know health status of a country, region and community. Some indicators are widely accepted while others are not as widely accepted by health authorities. Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) is one such indicator of health state of country, region and community and it is widely accepted as good indicator of health state, by Governments as well as international health organizations such as World Health Organization (WHO).

What is Infant Mortality Rate (IMR)?

Infant Mortality Rate is the number of deaths of infants (below one year of age) under one year of age per 1,000 live births. For example, in a locality/city 2,510 babies were born in the year 2010. Out of 2,510 babies born, 10 were born dead. In the year 2010, in the above mentioned locality/city 20 babies died below the age of one year. To find out the IMR we need to calculate number of live births: 2,510 (total births) minus 10 (born dead) =2500. Number of live births in a year (in this example 2010) is than divided by the number of babies who died of any cause from birth defects to infection, below age of one year, which are 20 in this example.

For calculating IMR, number of deaths of babies (from any cause) below one year is divided by number of total live births in a year, which is that multiplied by 1,000 and in this case it is 20/2,500×1,000= 8.

Why infant mortality rate is accepted as important indicator of health?

It is most widely accepted as one of the most sensitive indicator of health status of a country/region due to several reasons. The IMR always reflect the overall health scenario of a region/country. The rate is low in developed countries and high to very high in developing underdeveloped countries. If health infrastructure (preventive and curative infrastructures) of a region of a country is very good, the IMR is always good.

What factors can modify IMR?

There are several factors which can influence IMR in short term or long term. Short term factors which influence IMR include natural calamities/disasters such as flood, earthquake, war (which can have long term effect, depending on the length of war), civil unrest (civil war) etc.

IMR can be different in different regions of same country, e.g. in United States it is lowest in Minnesota at 4.78 and highest in District of Columbia at 14.1.

Some countries with best IMRs in the world:

  • Iceland: 2.9
  • Singapore:3.0
  • Japan:3.2

Some countries with worst IMRs in the world:

  • Sierra Leon: 160.3
  • Afghanistan: 157
  • Liberia: 132.5

The Infant Mortality Rate for whole world at present is 49.4

The above list of IMR is from United Nations World Population Prospects.

Top 7 Car Buying Tips

While we all like to think we will not be conned when buying a used car, thousands of people are every single year. The majority of these people have bought their used car from one of the popular free ads papers and have known very little – if anything – about what to look for in a quality car. If you fall into this category, then simply follow the top seven car buying tips outlined below.

First of all, look out for signs that the car may have been involved in a serious accident. Points to watch out for include slight gaps between the body panels and car doors that drop or that fit badly on their hinges.

Always give the gearbox and clutch a through test. To do this, make sure that you have the engine running then press down on the clutch. If there is any change in the sound of the engine then this could indicate the bearings are worn.

The gearstick should move smoothly without any "crunching" sound.

Make sure the brakes are in top order by breaking as firmly as you can without the car skidding.
When you start the car make sure the exhaust fumes are white – any other color could indicate problems.

Check the panels to make sure there are no lose screws. If there are this could indicate that the odometer has been tampered with and the car has done more mileage than it states.

Finally, always go over the car's paperwork thoroughly to make sure the history is correct. Usually the more history a car has then the better. Or invest in a vehicle data check, a service which can instantly check your proposed new car's history, including whether it has ever been stolen or involved in an accident or whether it has any outstanding finance on it etc.

The service does not cost a lot and could save you a fortune – as well as any heads – in the future.

Chronic Lyme Disease – Metaphysical and Spiritual Aspects

Chronic or late-stage Lyme Disease tends to affect people who have big things to offer the world. These people may already seem to be “on their path” and often excel in multiple areas at once, including the healing arts. The illness seems to appear in people who could go even deeper with their healing and creative gifts but for one reason or another feel locked into their current lifestyle. Perhaps they have unexpressed creative gifts like photography, painting or writing. Maybe they’ve been waiting for life to “let up” before they indulge such longings. But the creative pursuits themselves offer healing – not just for the Lyme folks, but for the world in a bigger way.

On the soul level, Chronic Lyme shows up like a roto-rooter, forcing people to dig deep and remove ALL blocks to creativity and healing. To the outside world, these people usually look like they have no blocks because they’re moving so effectively through life, but Life has other plans. It’s as though these souls came in with a bigger mission than their current lifestyle or world view allows. They may get nudged a few times, but if they don’t respond fully, then along come some little spirochetes to terrorize the immune and neurological systems into action. Like a guerrilla army, the bacteria sneak inside without detection and then launch a massive attack that captures attention through shock and awe.

Lyme patient patterns include: brighter than average in both intelligence and spirit, healing gifts that need even more expression than currently allowed, highly creative, and usually highly energetic prior to the Lyme fatigue. Things that do NOT seem related: diet, exercise level, and spiritual awareness. People catch Lyme while eating all types of diets: South Beach, SAD, vegan, 100% raw vegan, vegetarian … it just doesn’t seem to matter in terms of who catches the disease. Major athletes catch Lyme as well as total couch potatoes who just happened to cross paths with a rogue tick. People who’ve followed yoga for 20 years catch Lyme, as well as people for whom Lyme marked their very first foray into alternative spirituality.

The biggest common denominator seems to be that Lyme arrives when some anger has gone unexpressed and when self-love does not match the degree of love and blessings these folks spread into the world. The anger may stem from an anger at the way society treats the disenfranchised, or it may stem from early child abuse; it may relate to seething resentment from a relationship or series of relationships; it may come from a feeling that life has unfairly passed the person by even though they’ve sacrificed a lot to serve others. Cause of anger can vary, but the anger itself seems consistent.

The second common denominator comes from the disparity between all the love going out from these folks and the degree to which they allow themselves truly to receive nurturing and love without a sense of earning it or paying it back. Lyme folks tend to be major givers with high vibes before they catch the spirochetes. Lyme arrives as a chance – albeit a difficult one – to become one with all that love flowing through their words and deeds. It becomes a chance to experience their own love the way others experience it … to realize that the universe supports and loves them and wants them to shine even brighter than they allowed themselves to imagine before.

As such, Lyme remains a very difficult disease to treat. Most of those affected are, in this lifetime or certainly in previous ones, highly advanced healers. This awareness (whether conscious or completely subconscious) makes them adept at sidestepping treatments that would bring about healing before the lessons take root. Intuitively, Lyme sufferers have a sense that something needs to shift, even though they may not realize what or to what degree things need changing. This remains true of most diseases. Lyme just seems to operate at a faster and more aggressive level, outsmarting anyone who might offer relief before the soul receives its full blessing. Actively looking for that blessing speeds healing. Once the disease has served its ultimate purpose, it can fade away, leaving the survivor stronger, wiser and more compassionate for having taken the journey.
